After the flopped series The Avengers and Spider-Man Unlimited, the Marvel Animated Universe was no more and Marvel Studios decided to concentrate on films with the success of X-Men.

  • The 2010s:
In 2010, Transformers was retconned to become similar to the film series with the series Transformers: Prime. Cartoon Network revived the hugely popular Hanna-Barbera series Thundercats in 2010 after succesfully reviving Scooby-Doo.
