Closure and relaunch of MTV's Brazilian feed
On October 1, 2013, the terrestrial television feed of the Brazilian MTV closed to make way for TV Abril, before being relaunched as a basic cable television on the same day.
So, what would be Nirvana's fourth album?
Well, for me, it would be MTV Unplugged in New York . Why? It gave us one of the best covers of all time but also, this version of "All Apologies" was a bigger hit than the one from In Utero .
MTV's precursor
It's none other than Sight on Sound. This channel began broadcasting on December 1, 1977, the same day as the launch of Warner-Amex's Qube cable television service as well as Pinwheel, which later became Nickelodeon two years later before folding on July 31, 1981, as MTV began broadcasting the following day.

MTV, which launched as MTV - Music Television on August 1, 1981. And Much, which launched as Muchmusic on August 31, 1984.
The two TV channels that were once owned by Warner Bros.
They were part of the studio's joint venture with American Express titled Warner-Amex before being bought by Viacom (now Paramount Global and soon to merge with Skydance) in 1984. If you're wondering I'm talking about Nickelodeon and MTV. Nickelodeon would not be Warner's last foray at a TV channel aimed at kids as in 1996, Time Warner would merge with Turner Broadcasting, which owned Cartoon Network at the time.
