Phineas and Ferb: Phineas and Ferb started as a sketch in butcher paper by co-creator Dan Povenmire in 1994 while eating at a restaurant. The show was aired as a pilot in August 8, 2007. The pilot became a success. The show has been popular since the launch. Phineas’ busting sister Candace is voiced by Ashley Tisdale of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and High School Musical fame. Tisdale extended her contract with Disney in order to voice the character in 2006. Dr. Doofenshmirtz is voiced by co-creator Dan Povenmire. The character is a mad scientist and a villain in the subplot. He is of German and Russian descent. Phineas is voiced by Vincent Martella of Everybody Hates Chris and Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide fame. Phineas’ step-brother Ferb is voiced by Thomas Sangster of Nanny McPhee fame.
