The fifth science fiction franchise with the word "star"
As in Starship Troopers , but the 1959 novel actually predated Star Trek (by seven years), Star Wars (by 17 years), Battlestar Galactica (by 19 years) and Stargate (by 35 years). And even more is that the 1997 film is not even the first adaptation of the novel since it was in fact the 1988 six-part original video animation series.
