This Levi's Jeans for Women ad which focuses on a hula doll going incognito by changing her outfit to a white shirt and jeans as well using her hula skirt as a wig was in fact done by Pixar. Think of it as a spiritual spinoff to Toy Story .  

Not going to lie but if it weren't for this or any other film from Studio Ghibli like Princess Mononoke , we wouldn't have such great stuff like Avatar: The Last Airbender  and so on and this is one of the reasons why Hayao Miyazaki is considered one of the greatest anime visionaries of all time. Truly one of the best anime films and it's worth knowing it's to date the only anime film to have won the Best Animated Feature Oscar back in 2003. I really hope we see more anime films winning the Oscar one day, given that the anime film medium is currently under a new mainstream resurgence.

I am saddened to hear about yesterday's news that American-Swiss singer and actress Tina Turner had passed away at age 83 at her home in Zurich. Having started her career in the late Fifties as part of a rock and roll duo with her eventual first husband Ike Turner, she gave such hits such as "Proud Mary", "Nutbush City Limits", "River Deep - Mountain High" and "It's Gonna Work Out Hits" as well as her acting debut as the Acid Queen in the 1975 film adaptation of The Who's rock opera Tommy  before divorcing Ike in 1978 after a complicated 16-year marriage in which she suffered emotional and domestic abuse. Following her divorce, her career had gradually been relegated to performing in hotels and so on before her cover of Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" in 1983 marked the beginning of her comeback, which occured in form of her fifth album Private Dancer and proved that she could succeed without her now ex-husband and

There was this cinema outside the Millennium Dome, called the Skyscape cinema. Named after British Sky Broadcasting, now Sky Group, this cinema operated from 1999 to 2000 before it was dismantled after the Dome's closure. The Dome would reopen as the O2 in 2007, with a cinema inside, initially a Vue cinema but now a Cineworld cinema.

This is the Aldwych tube station, also known as the Strand tube station, which opened in 1907 before ceasing operations in 1994. The station continues to be used as a filming location.
