Dice

The Dice tetralogy will be released on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on June 12, 2010. The limited edition 6-disc boxset will include all four films (Dice I: The Beginning, Dice II: The Curse of The Dice, Dice III: Eclipse and Dice IV: The End), the fifth disc will feature deleted scenes, outtakes/blooper reel, screen tests, "making of" documentary, trailers, alternate endings and more and the sixth disc will include the proposed fifth film (Dice V: Anarchy), the animated film The Curse of the Dice, 3D versions and director's cut versions of the films.

The film rights of the book, The Curse of the Dice was sold by Warner Bros./MGM (a joint venture with Warner Bros. and MGM which was closed in 2010 after MGM becoming into trouble) in 1996. Filming began in 2000 in Vancouver, Canada and shot back-to-back until July 26, 2003. The films starred Anglo-Dutch actor James Hytenfield of Medical fame, Icelandic actress Helena Staten and Namiban actor N!xau of The Gods Must Be Crazy fame, who died in July 1, 2003, just six days before shooting ended.

In July 1, 2003, N!xau died before six days the film set to be complete. The film stopped filming in the next day after discovering N!xau's death. His stunt double played his role.

  • Dice I: The Beginning (released May 23, 2001): Adventurer and news reporter James Nathan (played by Hytenfield) and his friend Michael Wilkins (played by Andrew Tomilson) goes to Nambia to find a object, the Dice
