Daniel Stewart

Daniel van Pager Russo Lisboa Stewart (born July 7, 1974 in Hilversum, Netherlands) is a Dutch singer and actor who won the first Nederland Talent Show in 1990.


Stewart was born in July 7, 1974 in Netherlands. His father was of British and Dutch descent and his mother was of Portuguese and Italian descent.

The first music video lasted 32 minutes and features Stewart driving and hits an alien, which turns out to be a goblin (played by Eleanor Dunmore, who was Stewart's girlfriend at that time and later appeared in the music video for "Aliens" and the remake of Dune). The second music video was the 16 minute edit.

Rider the Fox is a 2010 live-action/computer-animated film based on an original script and directed by Dutch-Portuguese singer Daniel Stewart. The film premiered on Stewart's official website in June 10, 2010. It has similar themes to the 1981 Hungarian film Vuk

  • Leonard Stewart as the voice of Rider the Fox: Leonard died on May 12, 2010 of a heart attack at the age of 20. The film was dedicated to his memory.

The film started out as an original script in 2002 when Stewart saw a fox in the Netherlands. A year later, the film was scrapped in favor to concentrate his music career. The film was revived in 2006 and entered development.

Dashers is a pop-rock group which consists of Dutch-Portuguese singer Daniel Stewart, Sanmarinese-Italian singer Paolo Mentici, Belgian singer Daniel van Happenfield, British-American singer Harper Stevens, British singer Brian Franklin and German-Swiss singer Andrew Heider. The group was formed in 2008, but the name was announced on 2009 on Stewart's website. The name has several meanings:
  1. Every member have been on talent shows.
  2. Every member except Paolo Mentici have won talent shows.
  3. Every member except Daniel van Happenfield and Brian Franklin have dual citizenship.
  4. Every member except Andrew Heider have never took a break on music.
  5. Every member except Harper Stevens and Daniel Stewart have participated in the 20/20 Song Contest.
  6. Every member have never took drugs, drank alcohol, smoking cigarettes or gone to jail.
