As in the likes of DC's Titans and Marvel's X-Men in terms of their original and most successful periods (1964-96 for the former and 1963-91 for the latter).

Both teams

1. Teen Titans - They were nameless in their first appearance.
2. X-Men - They almost went by the Mutants.

Teen Titans 1964-1969

1. Dick Grayson / Robin / Nightwing / Batman - His original codename was named after Robin Hood.
2. Wally West / Kid Flash / Flash - He was absent from the main comics from 2011 to 2016 due to the result of Flashpoint.
3. Garth / Aqualad / Tempest - His blue costume is actually based on his counterparts from Teen Titans (2003) and Young Justice (2013).
4. Donna Troy / Wonder Girl / Troia / Darkstar - Her origins has been inconsistent as a result of Crisis on Infinite Earths.
5. Roy Harper / Speedy / Arsenal / Red Arrow - His alias Red Arrow originated in the Elseworlds miniseries Kingdom Come.
6. Lilith Clay / Lilith / Omen - Her father was revealed to be the team's benefactor Loren Jupiter in the Dan Jurgens run.
7. Hank Hall / Hawk - He was not originally intended to be Monarch, who was going to be Captain Atom but due to being leaked to the public, DC changed it to have him being the villain.
8. Don Hall / Dove - His death in the conclusion of Crisis on Infinite Earths has been undone like Wally's uncle Barry Allen (Flash), Superman's cousin Kara Zor-El (Supergirl), Garth's former girlfriend Tula Marius (Aquagirl) and Kole Weathers (Kole).

X-Men 1963-1969

1. Charles Xavier / Professor X / X - He was modelled after Russian-born American actor Yul Brynner.
2. Scott Summers / Cyclops / Phoenix / Captain Krakoa - He was initially referred by his nickname Slim during the early stories.
3. Bobby Drake / Iceman - His sexuality had been hinted all the way back in the Nineties during the Scott Lobdell run.
4. Hank McCoy / Beast - His furred appearance was initially depicted grey rather than blue.
5. Warren Worthington III / Angel / Archangel - He's in fact the wealthiest of the original line-up due to his father being a businessman.
6. Jean Grey / Marvel Girl / Phoenix / Dark Phoenix - She was not initially intended to be killed off in "The Dark Phoenix Saga" as she was originally going to be depowered.
7. Calvin Rankin / Mimic - He is the first mutate to join the team.
8. Kevin Sidney / Changeling / Morph - He posed as Professor X when the latter went underground to prepare for the invasion of the alien Z'nox.
9. Lorna Dane / Polaris - Her relation to Magneto had been hinted all the way back to her debut appearance.
10. Alex Summers / Havok - He and his brother Scott have another full brother named Gabriel (Vulcan) and a maternal half-brother named Adam Neramani (Adam-X).

Teen Titans 1970-1979

1. Malcolm Duncan / Guardian / Hornblower / Herald / Vox - He is the first African American superhero from DC.
2. Tula Marius / Aquagirl - Her time as a Teen Titan was on an honorary basis.
3. John Gnarrk / Caveboy / Gnarrk - He was killed off between the end of the original run and the start of the Wolfman run due to the latter not being fond of the character.
4. Duela Dent / Joker's Daughter / Harlequin / Riddler's Daughter - She was originally depicted as Two-Face's daughter before Crisis on Infinite Earths changed her origins and she was established as the daughter of Earth-3 heroes Jokester and Three-Face in Countdown to Final Crisis.
5. Karen Beecher / Bumblebee - Her marriage with Mal Duncan is actually the longest-lasting marriage in the team's publication history.
6. Bette Kane / Bat-Girl / Flamebird / Hawkfire - She is in fact the first Batgirl, not Barbara Gordon.
7. Charley Parker / Ch'al Andar / Golden Eagle - He was a fan of Hawkman before becoming a superhero.
8. Garfield Logan / Beast Boy / Changeling - He was part of the Doom Patrol before joining Titans West.

X-Men 1970-1979

1. Kurt Wagner / Nightcrawler / Spinnenmann - He is a devout Catholic, despite his demonic appearance.
2. James Howlett / Logan / Wolverine - His nemesis Sabretooth was originally intended to be his father.
3. Sean Cassidy / Banshee - He was originally going to be female, hence why his codename is named after a female spirit in Irish folklore.
4. Ororo Munroe / Storm - She is one of the two to have been part of the X-Men, the Avengers and the Fantastic Four with the other being Wolverine
5. Shiro Yoshida / Sunfire - His time with the X-Men was relatively brief.
6. Piotr Rasputin / Peter Nicholas / Colossus / Juggernaut - He is related to Russian mystic Grigori Rasputin.
7. John Proudstar / Thunderbird - He is the first Native American to join the team.
8. Firehair / Phoenix Force - She is in fact Thor's biological mother.

Teen Titans 1980-1989

1. Raven Roth / Rachel Roth / Raven - She was modelled after Indian actress Persis Khambatta.
2. Koriand'r / Kory Anders / Starfire - She has been married twice and could've married a third time with her boyfriend Dick Grayson, were it not for a Trigon-possessed Raven interrupting the wedding.
3. Victor Stone / Cyborg / Technis / Cyberion - He was a founding member of the post-Flashpoint incarnation of the Justice League.
4. Jason Hart / Protector - He filled in for Robin during the three-part Drug Awareness Special miniseries due to the character being licenced to Nabisco at the time.
5. Tara Markov / Terra - She was part of the Ravagers along with her ex-boyfriend Garfield Logan after her death was undone as a result of Flashpoint.
6. Joey Wilson / Jericho - He was originally going to be the team's first openly LGBTQ+ member but it never materialised until 2017 when he was revealed to be bisexual during the Christopher Priest run of Deathstroke.
7. Azrael - He had a brief relationship with Lilith (Omen).
8. Kole Weathers / Kole - She filled in for Raven after the latter was briefly written out by  disappearing in the conclusion of "Terror of Trigon".
9. Jason Todd / Robin / Red Hood - He would form his own team called the Outlaws with Starfire and Arsenal after Flashpoint.
10. Danny Chase / Phantasm - His uncle Adrian is the team's ally Vigilante.
11. Frances Kane / Magenta - She was originally going to be under the codename Polara.
12. Chris King - He and his friend Vicki Grant are among those who has used the mysterious H-E-R-O dial with others being Robby Reed, Nelson Jent, Roxie Hodder, Miguel Montez and Summer Pickens.

3. Lockheed - He is the dragon companion of Kitty Pryde.

13. Illyana Rasputina / Magik - She made her debut in Giant-Size X-Men, eight years before becoming Magik.
14. Doug Ramsey / Cypher / Revelation - He is now Apocalypse's heir.
15. Warlock / Douglock - He briefly took Cypher's appearance after his death.
16. Rahne Sinclair / Wolfsbane - Her hair hasn't always been depicted short as she sported long hair during the mid-Nineties.

Teen Titans 1990-1996

1. Dawn Granger / Dove - Her middle name is Marie.
2. Rosabelle Mendez / X-24 / Pantha - Her real name wasn't revealed until after her death in Infinite Crisis.
3. Leonid Kovar / Starfire / Red Star - He first interacted with the Titans during the early years before joining the team several years later.
4. Miriam Delgado / Mirage - She and Koriand'r do not get along due to the former disguising herself as the latter in order to seduce Dick.
