10. Darth Maul (Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace/The Clone Wars, played by Ray Park and voiced by Peter Serafinowicz in the film and voiced by Sam Witwer in the TV series)
  • Supposed Death: Dismembered by Obi-Wan Kenobi (played by Ewan McGregor) for killing his master Qui-Gon Jinn (played by Liam Neeson) in Episode I: The Phantom Menace
  • Return: Returned in the fourth season finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, where it is revealed that he survived and his dismembered limbs were replaced by bionic parts, resulting him as a Zabrak-cyborg hybrid
9. Mumm-Ra (ThunderCats, voiced by Earl Hammond in the original series and voiced by Robin Atkin Downes in the 2011 series)
  • Supposed Death: Several times.
  • Return: Several times.
8. Ernst Stavro Blofeld (007, played by Anthony Dawson and voiced by Eric Pohlmann in From Russia With Love and Thunderball, played by Donald Pleasance in You Only Live Twice, Telly Savalas in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Charles Gray in Diamonds Are Forever and John Hollis and voiced by Robert Rietty in For Your Eyes Only)
  • Supposed Death: His mini-sub is crashed by James Bond (played by Sean Connery) in Diamonds Are Forever.
  • Return: Returned in the pre-title sequence of For Your Eyes Only, however he falls to his death in a chimney when Bond (played by Roger Moore) takes control of the helicopter which was controlled by Blofeld.
7. Vilgax (Ben 10, voiced by Steven Blum)
  • Supposed Death: His lair is destroyed in the series finale of Alien Force.
  • Return: Returned in Ultimate Force.
6. Borg Queen (Star Trek, played by Alice Krige)
  • Supposed Death: Killed in the end of Star Trek: First Contact after Jean-Luc Picard (played by Patrick Stewart) destroys a Borg spaceship.
  • Return: Returned in the final episode of Star Trek: Voyager.
5. Trakeena (Power Rangers Lost Galaxy/Lightspeed Rescue, played by Amy Miller in Lost Galaxy and Jennifer Burns in Lightspeed Rescue)
  • Supposed Death: Killed in an explosion where Leo Corbett (played by Danny Slavin) sacrifices his Battlizer.
  • Return: Returned in the Power Rangers Lost Galaxy/Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue crossover, however she meets her fate when the Omega Megazord fused with the Lights of Orion and blasting her, killing her instantly.
4. Vypra (Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue/Time Force, played by Jennifer L. Yen)
  • Supposed Death: Killed by Queen Bansheera (played by Diane Salinger).
  • Return: Returned in the Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue/Power Rangers Time Force crossover, however she is killed by Wesley Collins (played by Jason Faunt) using his Red Battle Warrior mode.
3. The Master (Doctor Who, played by Eric Roberts in the TV film and John Simm in the TV series)
  • Supposed Death: Impaled by the Eye after being pushed by the Doctor (played by Paul McGann).
  • Return: Returned 11 years after the film, where Professor Yana (played by Derek Jacobi) regenerates into the Master.
2. Trigon (Teen Titans, voiced by Keith Szarabajka in his first appearance and Kevin Michael Richardson in later appearances)
  • Supposed Death: Killed by Raven (voiced by Tara Strong)'s energy.
  • Return: Returned in the fourth season finale of Teen Titans, however he meets his end when Raven defeats him, finally destroying her dark side. 
1. Agent Smith (The Matrix, played by Hugo Weaving)
  • Supposed Death: Disintegrated in The Matrix when Neo (played by Keanu Reeves) goes inside his mind.
  • Return: Returned in The Matrix Reloaded, only to be eradicated from existence in The Matrix Revolutions when Neo sacrifices himself.
Honourable mention: Slade Wilson (Teen Titans, voiced by Ron Perlman) and Tom Riddle / Lord Voldemort (Harry Potter, played by Ian Hart in the first film and Ralph Fiennes in later films)
  • Supposed Death (Slade): Falls to his death in a lava pit in "Aftershock".
  • Return (Slade): Returns in "Birthmark".
  • Supposed Death (Lord Voldemort): Possessing Professor Quirrell (played by Ian Hart), he is turned into dust by Harry (played by Daniel Radcliffe)'s touch in The Philosopher's Stone.
  • Return (Lord Voldemort): Returned in The Goblet of Fire, only to killed when his pet snake Nagini, who happened to be a Horcrux is decapitated by Neville Longbottom (played by Matthew Lewis).
